Parga is one of the most picturesque and cosmopolitan places in northwestern Greece. It is located in the northwestern part of Epirus, in the prefecture of Preveza. It is an exceptional seaside traditional settlement, which is obviously influenced by the architecture of the Ionian Islands and is built amphitheatrically on the outskirts of the Venetian Castle. It has a population of about 2,000, and is at an altitude of 139m (456ft.). Most of the beaches of the area are organized and offer equipment for most marine sports and games. For many, the beach of Parga is the most beautiful part of the Ionian Sea. Today, the town of Parga has significantly developed and is one of the most developed tourist destinations. Sights: • The narrow cobblestone streets • The Castle of Parga • The Island of Panagia • The Vlaherna Monastery • Ai Sostis • The Mycenaean Tomb… The Acrothea Hotel is located 500m (1,640ft.) after entering Parga, on the main street.
