Location:
We are located on the northern end of Virgin Gorda, part of the British Virgin Islands in the heavenly Caribbean. There are two bays at Leverick and we are the smaller cove which is very private. Only four villas are along this cove and our property is on the right side away from other villas. Our two cottages have round white roofs which YOU CAN SEE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GOOGLE MAP! Our coconut grove is to the left of them and then you can see the white cross shape of our main house. As you can see our whole property is right on the beach. The property is very private with a "no through" road that ends at a beach. If you "walk" your map to the left over the hill you can see a pier and red roof. That is the Leverick Bay Resort. All a 5 minute walk away. We look out onto the North Sound with its protected waters from other islands. Prickly Pear is in front of us and uninhabited. Behind Prickly Pear is Necker Island, Richard Branson's private island. Toward the right you look over to the famous Bitterend with its fabulous resort and yacht harbour and also the Biras Creek resort. To the left you see another island Richard Branson has recently purchased and is creating an Eco Resort there. Within walking distance (a 5 minute stroll over a small hill) you come to Leverick Bay Resort with all amenities, restaurants and entertainment. Typically, a Friday night offers a beach BBQ followed by the famous "Jumbies" and the best Caribbean band playing. You can dance around the pool to your heart's content. Virgin Gorda offers many wonderful sights and is steeped in history. There is so much to see. Visit the Coppermine ruins where slaves originally dug the stone by hand, the Mine Shaft restaurant and bar with its 300 degree views; the famous Baths - giant boulders the size of small houses which create natural archways, caves and swimming areas. Visitors come from all over the world to see the Baths. Spanish Town offers good shopping and the well known pub, The Bath and Turtle. The island is surrounded by excellent snorkeling beaches, pure white pristine bays with turquoise waters. We have been called "God's swimming pool" - our waters are clean clear and safe. It is sheer paradise. Nearby and a half hour boat trip is the amazing island of Anegada. A "must" for a day trip. Flat and surrounded by the most azure waters it is fringed with the whitest beaches, coconut palms and the best seafood. Anegada lobsters are famous! These descriptions are just a taste of what we have to offer! To get to our little piece of heaven you can fly into the island or into Tortola, Beef Island airport and then take a ferry to Virgin Gorda. From Roadtown, Tortola there are a few ferry companys to choose from. There is also a ferry at the Beef Island airport, the North Sound Express which stops at Leverick Bay and goes over to the Bitterend. Speedie's ferry also comes across from St Thomas USVI if you manage to get better flights.
