Calico Lodge Bed and Breakfast, a five bedroom bed and breakfast is the only Qualmark property in the Kumeu area. We have 4 plus Stars, Environmental Silver, beautiful gardens, separate guest wing with its own entrance and guest lounge offering tea/ coffee 24 hours.

There are five bedrooms, a 2 bedroom suite with its own bathroom, one with a private bathroom and two with ensuites. One ensuite has a double spa bath with the shower, toilet and vanity, and all bathrooms have a range of top line amenities, hairdryers, heaters, robes, slippers, fresh flowers, and embroidered towels.

A full breakfast including juice, fresh fruit, cereal, bacon, eggs, hash browns, tomatoes and a speciality of Calico Lodge is included in the tariff.

Wireless broadband is available throughout the Lodge, and there is TV, DVD, radio and fridge in the guest lounge which opens out onto the gardens with outdoor furniture and a large gazebo.

Calico Lodge is also home to Kay’s extensive patchwork quilting and hand made teddy bears, many of which are for sale.

Our home and gardens are open by appointment, themed to the time of the year.
Christmas is very special with the Lodge decorated for the occasion.

Kerry and Kay, born and bred New Zealanders have travelled extensively in New Zealand and overseas, and together with their little dog Zippy and three cats welcome you to Calico Lodge.

Calico Lodge Bed and Breakfast is 25 minutes from Auckland City. We are also 25 minutes from Eden Park and North Harbour Stadium where some of the games of the World Rugby Cup 2011 will be played. Auckland Airport is 50 minutes south. Many golf courses and wineries make up the Kumeu area and alco Lodge is 10 minutes from the world renowned gannet colony at Muriwai beach.
